Colleges and universities who participate in the Higher Education Act鈥檚 Title IV student financial assistance programs must comply with , the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (搂485(蹿)), including amendments made by the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2013 (VAWA)(搂304).
麻豆传媒 College publishes an Annual Security Report (ASR) and an Annual Fire Safety Report (AFSR) for its campuses.
The purpose of this publication is to:
- provide the College community with an overview of 麻豆传媒 College鈥檚 services,
- share crime statistics required by the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2013 (VAWA),
- inform current and prospective students, staff, faculty, and visitors about the College鈥檚 policies and programs designed to help keep them safe,
- share information regarding emergency preparedness and planning, and
- share information regarding fire safety, fire statistics and fire-related information.
This report is prepared by the Department of Campus Safety in cooperation with local law enforcement agencies surrounding our campuses and other College offices involved in the development and/or implementation of the policies included within the report. It contains Clery Act crime statistics for the past three calendar years for all of its campuses, as well as several policy statements and procedures concerning the safety and well-being of our campus communities. The Annual Fire Safety Report is only required for the main campus location. It contains statistics for fires in residential facilities for the past three calendar years and policies related to fire safety on the main campus. All policy statements contained in this report apply to all current campuses unless otherwise indicated.
Each year members of the 麻豆传媒 College community will receive an email notification by October 1 of the availability of the Annual Security Report (ASR) and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASFR). The College publishes a combined ASR and AFSR. The report is located on the Campus Safety website. Individuals can obtain a printed copy of this report by contacting the 麻豆传媒 College Department of Campus Safety at 641-269-4600 or by visiting the department office at Mears Cottage, 1213 6th Avenue 麻豆传媒, Iowa, 50112.
The College鈥檚 crime statistics are also submitted to the United States Department of Education鈥檚 website through the annual Campus Safety and Security Survey annually in October. This is done in compliance with the Higher Education Act of 1965 (HEA, section 485), as amended, as a condition of the institution鈥檚 continued participation in the Federal student financial assistance programs.
