Marion Tricoire

Assistant Professor

Professor Marion Tricoire (Ph.D., Emory University) is a teacher and scholar of African Literature and of the Francophone world. Her research interests include Sub-Saharan African literature, Francophone studies, urban humanities, postcolonial literatures, migration and diaspora studies, and literary translation. Her current research project explores how contemporary urban literary fiction from Africa reimagines the city for its many hidden possibilities. In particular, her scholarly work discusses novels set in Dakar, Kinshasa, Douala, Lagos, and Luanda. Professor Tricoire has published an article in French Review entitled, 鈥淭rajectoires Urbaines: Dakar au prisme d鈥Aller et Retour de Ken Bugul鈥 (2019) and her article "Article 15 and the 蝉丑茅驳耻茅蝉 children in Marie-Louise Mumbu鈥檚 Samantha 脿 Kinshasa鈥 is forthcoming (Fall 2020) in Research in African Literatures.
